Back to the Cosmos

Today was officially the last day of my annual leave. I spent it by waking up late, accompanying Papa at the shop, and paying a visit to my favourite shopping centre.

Hubby, my brother Paolo, and I had some Churros - which I missed terribly!

Then Paolo and Mama walked around the shopping centre, while Hubby and I did the same. Hubby and I ended up browsing at Borders. While we were there I went to the magazine section. It was a hobby of mine in the past, to purchase the Cosmopolitan magazine (and other monthly magazines) every month. For some reason, I stopped purchasing them. Hmmm, I guess the reason could be due to the Internet. :)

And with that, I decided today that I would go back to reading Cosmo each month - I purchased the May 2010 issue today.

Happy reading to me! :D

Bring on New Moon

The final poster of New Moon has been released, and it has made me even more eager to watch the second book/movie in the saga.

I got this poster from a fellow blogger who has all the information on
New Moon.

Hubby and I are planning on watching this at Directors Suite so that I get to have the complete experience. Heehee. :P

The only sad thing about this movie (as with the book), is that Edward has minimal appearances. The focus is more on Bella and Jacob (although Jacob looks pretty good in the movie).

Still.. Gooo Team Edward! :)

Stephenie Meyer: The Host

I am a MASSIVE fan of
Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Saga. Since she released the saga, I have been her fan.

The only book I don't have is The Host, which is a somewhat sci-fi book. I definitely enjoy sci-fi movies, but I'm not sure if a sci-fi book will catch my attention.

After much consideration, I have decided to purchase this book. I have in fact, enjoyed her books so far. Plus, reviews say that even the non-sci-fi lovers will love this book.

So, I'm off to buy this book on my next trip to the bookstore.

Sophie Kinsella: Twenties Girl

One of my favourite authors is Sophie Kinsella. I have all of her books and I always watch out for her latest releases.

Of course, I have purchased her latest book - Twenties Girl.

Normally I bury my head in the book and finish the book in a day or two. However for the Twenties Girl, I have not lifted a page. I have reserved this book for our trip to Sydney.

You can read the summary of this book on
Sophie Kinsella's Official Website.

I can't wait to start reading!

He's Just Not That Into You

Just came home from from watching He's Just Not That Into You with my brothers and my cousin Faith. A Butterscotch ChocTop, massive popcorn, and gigantic sprite made the movie more enjoyable. Nibbles are a must when watching movies!

It's an alright movie, a good laugh and a tear. Haha.

My most favourite part was..

Watch out, here comes a spoiler!

My most favourite part was when Ben Affleck proposed to Jennifer Aniston. That scene was totally unexpected and super sweet! Definitely a big awwww.. lol

The movie is based on a novel which was published a few years ago (one I had read in my Uni days). A somewhat annoying book, as most of the instances you would agree that the guy is just really not into you. :c

Breaking Dawn [please don't read this post if you plan on reading this book]

Here I am, finished with the final book in the Twilight Saga.  And I am feeling extremely sad. At the moment I am somewhat lost, not knowing what to do, after spending this week reading the saga. Oh well, I'm sure I will find something to keep me busy - I hope I will be able to catch up with blogging.

I loved this final book! As usual, I couldn't put the book down.  Apologies, sadness is reigning over me at the moment. Still.

Anyway, I pondered about the saga, Breaking Dawn in particular.  That in some ways, I can connect myself with Bella. Not that predators followed me everywhere, or that I was surrounded by supernatural creatures.  But I felt like Bella, in many ways than one regarding her relationship with Edward and Jacob.  And it struck me that I miss my husband and my best friend like crazy.  Like Bella, I am:

.. blessed with two special men beside me
.. lucky that my husband understands the relationship I have with my guy best friend
.. lucky that my best friend has not forgotten about me even if my attention is towards my husband
.. spoiled by these two wonderful men
.. surrounded by unconditional love both ways

I miss the presence of my husband and my best friend.  *sigh*

Back to the topic - I definitely recommend reading the Twilight Saga. I'm not sure if your experience will be similar to mine, but it's totally worth reading. 10++ rating from me.

Can't wait till the next movies come out! :)

Eclipse [please don't read if you plan on reading this book]

I have just finished reading Eclipse (Stephenie Meyer), the third book in the Twilight Saga.

I LOVE IT! It was much better than New Moon, mainly because Edward played a bigger role in it. :p

So many "kilig" moments in the story - the way Edward talks, and how he does all in his power to protect the lady he loves. It's amazing how protective he is of her, very sweet and thoughtful (despite the fact that she was everyone's prey). I also like the frequency of how Edward puts his arms around Bella's waist. I've always thought of that act as somewhat screaming "ownership or possession". Like the guy is saying to everyone, "She's Mine".  I like it. Teehee. :D

It saddens me that the next book, Breaking Dawn, would be the last in this saga. I guess Midnight Sun would be the next novel to look forward to, but the release date has not yet been announced. *sob sob*

New Moon [please don't read this post if you plan on reading this book]

Okay, I started reading New Moon (Stephenie Meyer) Tuesday evening, and finished midnight on Wednesday. I just couldn't put the book down!

I warn once again, if you plan on reading New Moon - PLEASE DON'T READ THIS POST. :)

The main reason why I couldn't put the book down, was because I was waiting for Edward to physically get back into the story! (I won't go into too much detail) Every little whisper by Edward's velvet voice made me want to keep reading, hoping that he will once again show up in Forks. :p

It was sad (or kinda disappointing) that majority of the story was about Bella and Jacob. I'm like, "I'm not that interested in the warewolf, i wan't the bloodsucking dude!" LOL

Can't wait to get started with Eclipse. Hopefully Edward is physically present more often! :D

The Common Cold

The bug has caught me. My nose is now congested, and it's really annoying me.

I started feeling crappy yesterday morning, then felt warm and tired the whole day which made it hard for me to do my duties at work.

When I got home I went straight to bed, woke up for dinner, then went back to bed. I had trouble getting back to sleep so I took advantage of the opportunity and began reading New Moon (Stephanie Meyer), the sequel to Twilight. I'm about a third into the book and it's quite good so far. I don't want to say any more as I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't read it yet. :p

As usual, hubby was on the other line, taking care of me until I fell asleep. Thanks love! :*

I Love EDWARD CULLEN! [I mean Twilight]

I just came back from watching Twilight at the movies and OMG - I LOVE EDWARD CULLEN! (After my dear hubby, that is) ;p

I'm not sure what's so good about that movie, but it was sold to me. :)

Maybe it's Edward Cullen - those eyes, that soft voice, that smile. LOL

Whatever it is, it made me want to buy all the books coz the movie was so "bitin"!!!

Gotta buy the books tomorrow. Gotta buy the books. :D

Twilight Fever

Now, I've heard about Twilight three times today - I'd say that is a sign. After reading the synopsis, I definitely want to grab a copy.  Might go and see the movie with my brothers when it comes out in Melbourne. Excited! :)
