L Plate Curler

Here we go, my first full attempt at curling my hair with the purple GHD IV styler.

It is so NOT easy.

Being a beginner curler is so difficult - I'm slow, and I have thick hair. Perfect combination. My head was getting hot and my arms were getting sore from curling. Haha. Oh well, I'll get the hang of it one day. :)

Hair Repair Hope

Went to Coles with Mama and Papa after work. I went by the personal care section and came across numerous brands of hair treatments, briefly thought about my drying hair, then decided to purchase new shampoo, conditioner, and leave in conditioner - with the hope of rescuing my hair. I never thought choosing those three could be so difficult. Schwarzkopf stood out so I thought I should give it a go. But gee, there were like five different varieties of Schwarzkopf products for different kinds of hair. I probably spent 15 minutes trying to work out which one fits my hair's current condition.

So there they are, I went for the Hair Repair range, Protection Against External Influences for Dry and Stressed Hair (with wild rose). I hope it's not too late to save my hair!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

My colleague Dilan kinda decorated our centre table in our department today. He improvised with old Christmas decoration and came up with this.

Notice the mini Nativity Set in front of the tree - colour laser printing on A4 paper. :D

Hair Products

I went to Safeway (known as Woolworths outside Victoria) today and bought a can of hairspray and some sectioning clips to help me with my "curling classes". Hehe.

I gave my purple GHD IV styler a test run last night but only for a little while. Maybe I'll try to do all my hair tonight. :p

Cake Ordered? Check.

Okay, step two done. I've ordered and made the down payment for my Grandma's birthday cake.

Step three - remember to pick up the cake on Sunday morning, just before the event. :p

Dude, That's Rude!

Why are some people just so rude?

You try to be nice, but they are still rude to you - over and over again.

Sorry, I need to vent.

Hot Rollers vs Hot Sticks

I'll be attending quite a few occasions within the next few months, so I thought of getting a curling tool to help me do something with my hair (as I normally just have it dead straight). Now I'm stuck with the decision:

Hot Rollers?

or Hot Sticks?

I need ones that work with thick and long hair, just like mine.  Big curls would do me just fine. Please help me girls! :)

Twilight Fever

Now, I've heard about Twilight three times today - I'd say that is a sign. After reading the synopsis, I definitely want to grab a copy.  Might go and see the movie with my brothers when it comes out in Melbourne. Excited! :)

Grandma's Birthday Cake

My Grandma is gonna celebrate her 85th Birthday very soon (she'll have a few parties).  One party will be with her elderly group, which will be this Sunday, 07 December. My cousins and I thought we should get her a surprise birthday cake which she could blow and cut at that party. So I took a trip to Ferguson Bakehouse at Highpoint and checked out their cakes. I went for this one:

Sponge on the Run cakes are made with a thick layer of fresh cream between two layers of chocolate sponge, topped with fresh cream, strawberries, and dusted chocolate shavings.

After consulting with my cousins, they gave me the go signal. So tomorrow I'll head back to Ferguson to order the large size cake and make the deposit. :)
