My Grandma is gonna celebrate her 85th Birthday very soon (she'll have a few parties). One party will be with her elderly group, which will be this Sunday, 07 December. My cousins and I thought we should get her a surprise birthday cake which she could blow and cut at that party. So I took a trip to Ferguson Bakehouse at Highpoint and checked out their cakes. I went for this one:
Sponge on the Run cakes are made with a thick layer of fresh cream between two layers of chocolate sponge, topped with fresh cream, strawberries, and dusted chocolate shavings.
After consulting with my cousins, they gave me the go signal. So tomorrow I'll head back to Ferguson to order the large size cake and make the deposit. :)
