Carer's Leave

I took the day off once again to accompany Papa to his follow up at the RVEEH. We had an appointment set, but we ended up waiting more than 2 hours before being called in by the specialist.


While waiting for our turn, I played my ever loyal DS, continuing my Pokemon game. Haha.


And to my luck, the telly at the hospital was tuned to the Australian Open, with the Roddick-Djokovic match.






































Fortunate for Roddick, Djokovic retired during set four due to the terrible heat. I felt a little bad for Djokovic as he was unable to fully defend his title.


Anyway, back to Papa's case.


The specialist said there has been a little improvement, but she was hoping for a more rapid recovery. And also, apparently, we weren't placing the drops in the correct area of his eye. With that, she increased the strength of one of Papa's drops. He has another checkup on Friday - sadly, I don't think I will be able to take leave from work.
